Mai Fm 88.6 Promotes Major Auckland Events
Auckland's top music station, Mai FM 88.6, is promoting several major events in the city during the month of November.
- An invite-only showcase of the best in fashion, music, art and design caps off the Ponsonby Fringe Festival at 8pm
this Friday night (Nov 1). Festival sponsors Mai FM 88.6, Giltrap Prestige and Ponsonby Road Promotions are hosting the
finale function for the three-week event at the Giltrap Prestige Showrooms in Great North Road.
- This Saturday (Nov 2), Mai Music acts Katchafire and D2S will perform at the Howick Lions Halloween Fireworks
Spectacular at the Alexandra Park Raceway in Greenlane. Mai FM 88.6 will be hosting a talent quest on the night. The
doors open at 4.30pm, entertainment starts at 5pm and the finale fireworks and laser show is at 8.45pm.
- D2S is also the headline act for a tour of Auckland schools supported by the Land Transport Safety Authority. Mai FM
88.6 and D2S will help deliver a key road safety message to young teens about to venture on their summer holidays.
Dozens of schools have entered from which 10 will be selected. Some entries have surprisingly come from areas outside of
Mai FM's broadcast reach. The tour is due to start mid to late November.
- Mai FM 88.6 is one of the key sponsors of the New Zealand K1 competition at the ASB Stadium in Kohimarama on Friday,
November 8. World heavyweight kickboxing champion Ray Sefo has returned home from Japan to help his younger brother Roni
prepare for the fight of his life.
- And the Ngati Whatua station is also promoting a massive DJ Competition being held in conjunction with the Big Boys
Toys Show on November 15-17. Thousands of dollars worth of prizes are up for grabs.
