Breakdancing Competition to Rock Pakuranga
Calling all Bboys and Bgirls!! Manukau City Council’s leisure team is giving Manukau City’s break dancers and rappers the chance to strut their stuff.
This Friday (27 September) the Pakuranga Youth Centre will be jumpin’ to the sounds and moves of the best breakers in town.
The 4 on 4 Mini Nationals Breakdancing Competition is on from 7pm to 10pm, showcasing the coolest, the best and the baddest breakers and rappers in the city.
Recreation Programmer, Jennings George says that anyone is welcome to come along and compete in the open floor or open mike areas.
“We’ve got MC Taaz leading the way on the mike and DJ Bounce from Deja’Vu on the turntables. This is going to be a fantastic night for our youth to strut their stuff!
“Our judges are from New Zealand’s best, including national breakdance champions Quik ‘n Ezy, Mai Time and Lay-D Pixx. So come along and get involved, or just enjoy watching the talent from the sidelines.”
Entry is $5, or $3 for those under 9 years of age. Contact the Youth Centre on 576 9739 for more details.
