Protests At Council House Sales In Freemans Bay And Grey Lynn

Protests will take place tomorrow, Saturday 25th May, at the Council's Open Homes in Freemans Bay and Grey Lynn. Organised by the Council Housing Action Group, the protests are against the Council's decision to sell its 138 homes for low income households which has also been taken prior to any outcome of the draft annual plan consultation process.
Protesters will meet outside the Freemans Bay Community Centre, 52 Hepburn Street at 10.45am, ready for the Open Home session from 11am - 12.30pm at the following units:
1/87 Beresford St
2/59 Hepburn St
3/58 Wellington St
9/116 Wellington St
Sales office at 5/55 Hepburn St
Protesters will also meet again at 2.45pm at the corner of Dryden Street and Williamson Avenue, Grey Lynn (one block down from Food Town) ready for the Open Home session from 3pm - 4pm at the following units:
12 + 17/2 Schofield St
6 + 9/1A Dryden St
