Victoria Park Viaduct Closed For Resealing

Published: Tue 30 Apr 2002 11:02 AM
Transit New Zealand advises all motorists that the Victoria Park viaduct will be closed for eight nights from Tuesday 30 April until Thursday 9 May 2002, to allow for resealing to take place.
The northbound section of the viaduct will be closed for the first four nights, followed by the southbound section of the viaduct. All closures will take place at night between 9pm and 5am.
Motorists are advised that during the closures, northbound traffic will need to exit the motorway at Nelson Street and divert along Nelson Street and Fanshawe Street before re-entering the motorway. Southbound traffic will leave the motorway at Fanshawe Street and use Hobson Street to re-enter the Southern motorway. The detours will be clearly marked.
All work will be weather dependent, and in the event of wet weather, will resume on the next clear scheduled night.
For more information regarding the closures, motorists can phone Transit’s Auckland office tel (09) 368 2000 (24 hours).
