Vehicles travelling on Green Lane East, from the Greenlane roundabout towards Remuera, will be diverted along Ascot
Avenue for a week while major road rebuilding takes place.
The works, between Ascot Ave and Peach Parade, begin on Sunday, 2nd December and finish on 9th December. Westbound
traffic will continue to travel along Green Lane East.
Auckland City’s Roading Projects Manager, Peter Scott, said with an average traffic flow of 22,000 vehicles a day on
Green Lane East the diversion of east-bound traffic was the best way to ensure the work is completed as quickly as
possible, with minimum disruption.
“This is a major roading reconstruction project and motorists will need to take care, as there will be large
construction machinery and some degree of traffic congestion at the site for a week,” said Mr Scott.
The contractor will work between 7.00am and 10.30pm to ensure speedy completion of the works with the minimum of
interference to residents and disruption of traffic.
