Special bus & train services to Ellerslie Flowers

¡§Special bus and train services to transport more Aucklanders to the Ellerslie Flower Show¡¨

The 2001 Ellerslie Flower Show is running at the Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens in Manurewa from 21¡V25 November.
Stagecoach, Tranz Metro and Howick and Eastern Buses are running special services to the Ellerslie Flower Show to provide show-goers with a convenient alternative to driving.
Each year the show becomes more popular and with heavy traffic and limited parking space, the provision of special public transport services has been welcomed by organisers and patrons alike.
¡§We have been working with transport operators and the Auckland Regional Council to ensure getting people to the show is as easy as possible. Public transport is a great option for visitors as it gets you right to the show gates¡¨ said Vicki Salmon, Chief Executive of the Ellerslie Flower Show.
Special buses will depart from North Shore, Auckland City and Pakuranga on each of the show days as follows:
„h North Shore Bus departing Glenfield shops at 9am, 11am and 1pm, travelling via Glenfield Rd, Wairau Rd, Shakespeare Rd, Kitchener Rd, Hurstmere Rd, Anzac Street, Lake Rd, Huron Street, Burns Ave, Esmonde Rd to the motorway and then direct to the show. Returning via the same route at 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. (Last bus 6pm Sunday only)
„h Auckland Bus departing the corner of Victoria and Elliot Streets on the hour 9am ¡V 3pm, travelling via the Sky City Bus Terminal and motorway to the show. Returning via the same route on the hour 2pm ¡V 8pm. (Last bus 7pm Sunday only)
„h Pakuranga & Howick Bus departing Pakuranga Plaza at 10am, travelling via Highland Park, Ridge Rd, Picton St, Cook St, Whitford Rd, Millhouse Drive, Botany Rd, Botany Town Centre, Te Irirangi Rd, Boundary Rd, Aspiring Drive and Everglade Drive to the show. Returning via the same route at 4pm.
„h Te Irirangi Shuttle (Route 66) all day connection to the velodrome ¡¥park and ride¡¦ where a shuttle is available to the venue.
In addition, the normal Tranz Metro train timetable applies, with a shuttle bus transporting patrons from Homai station to the show and back.
A $10 day pass is available on transport services to the show, valid for use on all services of the operator the pass is purchased from. Children¡¦s and other special fares are also available.
