Grants For Arts And Culture Funding

The Community Grants Committee of the Hutt City Council met recently to allocate funding under the Arts and Culture Funding Scheme. The purpose of the scheme is to strengthen the infrastructure of emerging and existing arts and cultural organisations in Hutt City by providing assistance towards operating and overhead costs.
The Committee had a total of $66,333 available for distribution in the 2001/2002 financial year. Seven organisations received funding towards their operating expenses. Listed below are the recipients for this year:
