Elaboration On Asian Meeting

Christchurch's Mayor Garry Moore emphasised that the meeting of Asian and community leaders today did not discuss recent violence incidents in Christchurch.
He said the meeting, at which a working party was set up, had its focus completely on providing support for Asian students in the city. He said the support had to be viewed in the broadest sense, he said. For example social needs, health, educational, and accommodation had to be considered.
The meeting was most positive in this area.
