Infrastructure Auckland Defers Grant Decision On Waitemata Waterfront Interchange
Statement made by John Robertson, Chairman Infrastructure Auckland
Infrastructure Auckland has deferred a decision on the level of grant it will make to the Waitemata Waterfront Interchange.
A letter received from Auckland City Council at the start of today’s board meeting of Infrastructure Auckland asked the funding agency to adjourn the meeting for one week.
Directors resolved to defer making a decision on the grant until they had the opportunity to discuss with Auckland City Council its reasons for seeking an adjournment.
In deferring our decision on the grant, we are not accepting the validity of Auckland City Council’s reasons for requesting the adjournment.
We will seek to meet with Auckland City Council as soon as possible.
