Candidate Information Evenings in Manukau

Published: Thu 12 Jul 2001 02:55 PM
The Manukau City Council is holding Candidate Information Evenings for prospective candidates in the upcoming local government elections.
The evenings are a chance for those wishing to stand for Mayor, Councillor or as a member of a Community Board to hear about the Local Electoral Act and the management of the elections within Manukau.
As the Council is also managing the elections of the Counties-Manukau District Health Board and the Wiri, Papatoetoe and Otara Licensing Authorities in the same election period, prospective candidates for those positions are also welcome to attend.
The evenings will be held on 18,19 and 24 July in the Council Chambers, Civic Buildings, Manukau City Centre beginning at 6.00PM.
