City Cyclists Have Own Map

Published: Tue 17 Oct 2000 03:17 PM
Christchurch cyclists now have their own map showing the city's cycle ways. The map, free and limited to 10,000 copies, is the first map to be specially prepared for cyclists in 10 years.
It will be released on Tuesday 24 October and be available at Christchurch City Council service centres, Council libraries, the Civic Offices, the Tourist and Information Bureau in Cathedral Square and some cycle shops.
Besides all the city's cycle ways, the map also includes off-road cycle paths and facilities. It shows not only the cycle- way network but also those proposed in the coming two years. The different ways are coloured coded in a pocket-sized foldaway map. An index of Christchurch streets is included.
Sponsors are Ground Effect, the City Council's City Design Unit, and Rainbow Print.
